Preparing your walls

This is probably the easiest part of your renovation work. If you are going to be putting wallpaper over wallpaper, then refer to my article on painting over paper. Everything in that article is the same until you get to the primer stage, at that point you will want to prime with a wallcovering primer if you are going to hang new wallpaper over your old paper.

If you are going to hang wallpaper over a painted wall, it’s always a good idea to prime with a wallcovering primer before you hang.  If you walls are new sheetrock, or you have removed old paper and the walls where not primed, you should always prime with a wallcovering primer before you hang.

Preparing your walls yourself is a good way to save yourself a few dollars before you call me out to hang your new wallpaper.

Good luck with that paint brush and I will be looking forward to your call. Mike 864-621-8571
